A great deal of time and money has already been spent returning the Usher Hall to its former glory; from the cosmetic refurbishments to the restoration of the colossal pipe organ. Impressive acoustics mean that the venue, which first opened in 1914, is in constant demand by everyone from the RSNO to bands such as Mogwai or jazz artists such as John Scofield. Most of the major music events at August's Festival take place here.
