Why the name, Dakota?


The Dakota aircraft changed the face of air travel in the ‘30’s and today
it encapsulates the Heart, Soul and Spirit behind the DAKOTA brand. Air travel,
once a privilege of the rich elite was revolutionised by this aircraft.
It offered stylish service and cabin accommodation at an affordable price.


This concept applies today to the DAKOTA brand.
We drive ourselves to provide guests with a unique experience based on the
principles of style, and exceptional service to exceed all expectations.

    Located in South Queensferry, our 132-bedroom hotel features a destination cocktail Bar and brasserie-style Grill along with 3 meeting rooms.

    The primary responsibilities of the role are to:

    -Uphold the responsibility of being the Duty Manager by leading the hotel through emergency evacuations and handling any guest issues.

    -Be a hands-on manager within the operation and supporting Housekeeping, Reception and Food & Beverage wherever required throughout the day.

    -Engage with guests and employees, driving a culture of continual development and spearheading our relentless commitment to provide guests with the highest levels of service.

    -Champion guest recognition, carrying out meet & greets of our guests on check in and check out.

     

    The attributes we are seeking in the chosen candidate are:

    -Work any 5 days of out 7, with the contracted hours of 42.5 per week, and shift patterns generally being 06:45-16:15 or 14:25-23:15.

    -At least 2 years experience as a supervisor, who works to motivate and develop your team.

    -Excellent attention to detail and passionate about creating sensational guest experiences.

    -At least 3 years experience working on hotel reception.

    -1 year experience in food and beverage is strongly preferred.

You are expected to learn our full drinks list and always maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our menu to deliver recommendations tailored to guest tastes.
