Why the name, Dakota?


The Dakota aircraft changed the face of air travel in the ‘30’s and today
it encapsulates the Heart, Soul and Spirit behind the DAKOTA brand. Air travel,
once a privilege of the rich elite was revolutionised by this aircraft.
It offered stylish service and cabin accommodation at an affordable price.


This concept applies today to the DAKOTA brand.

    The role of Room Attendant is a cleaning based position, responsible for ensuring that guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas are immaculately cleaned and detailed to the highest possible standard. The successful applicant will be proactive and able to work alone for much of the day, be reliable, have a strong understanding of the high expectations of our guests and be able to work at pace.

    Full-time applicants must be able to work any 5 days out of 7, and part-time applicants must be able to work weekends.     • Learn tasting notes on wines and cocktails to be able to recommend pairings with dishes.

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    • Having previous waiting or retail experience is strongly preferred.
    • A personal passion for food and enthusiasm for engaging with people.
    • You are expected to look immaculate with pristine uniforming and personal presentation.
    • Part-time contracts are for either 18 or 24 hours per week, and full-time contracts are 30 or 35 hours per week.
    • Team members on full-time contracts must be able to work any 5 days out of 7, and availability of days able to work for part-time team members must be communicated at least one month in advance.
    • General shift times are 17:00-00:00 Sunday – Thursday, and 17:00-01:00 Friday & Saturday.
    • Previous training in responsible alcohol sales, food hygiene, or food allergens is favoured but not required as this training will be provided upon starting.
    • Physically able to carry large trays and be standing for the entirety of your shift.

    At Dakota, we believe that marketing is done on a plate. As such, you will support in driving a culture of sales through service as well as by sincere guest recognition.

    You will support the Restaurant Manager in driving the highest levels of menu knowledge within your team by giving one-on-one coaching and completing individuals’ New Start Training Plan, to delivering briefings and holding Reviews & Appraisals.

    This vacancy carries a permanent 42.5 hour pw contract, and shift patterns are any 5 out of 7 days, working all lates. Renumeration for the role is £17,000pa plus up to £1,000pa in bonus. We will provide you with certified training in Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and Alcohol Responsibility upon starting.
